July 4th...in Canada

Though living in Canada, we still wanted to remember our 4th of July. An American friend, John, prompted us to have dinner together. Then Rod and I decided to create a patriotic mural. The flag was flown in Iraq in 2006 by our daughter, a US Marine. The certificate in the top left corner says so. The Army sweatshirt is from our son, Gabe, presently serving in Afghanistan. The shirt top right is from our son Josh, a Marine reservist. And the Bible is opened to Psalm 23, telling about Our Shepherd..."yea though I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me." We often pray this for our children in the military and others serving our country.

Mum,
this is a very nice picture! I know it means a lot to all of us who serve in the family, and in our extended family of fellow service members!
Love,

Above all things, because God is good, and because YOU HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL to hold on to your faith in Jesus Christ, call this picture:

"A glimpse of the FOIST LEGACY".

Four children, four gifts from God. Celebrate!!
